Description: Purchaser Preston up to £23,000 + Benefits

We are a rapidly expanding IT / Communications company based in the North West and are looking for a Purchaser to implement, control and process all our purchases; therefore they should be methodical and possess great attention to detail.

The role will include:

* Set-up an order processing department
* Create processes for budget signoffs, orders placed/signed off
* Placing orders / chasing deliveries based on the processes set up
* Scheduling, booking and managing deliveries and purchasing for months in advance
* Knowledge of Excel is a ESSENTIAL
* Administration for all purchase orders
* Maintaining stock levels
* Negotiating terms with suppliers

Skills & Experience

You will be dynamic, results oriented and capable of providing expertise and enthusiasm.
Able to demonstrate well developed commercial and negotiating skills
A professional and persevering approach, with a commercial emphasis on cost reduction.
CIPS qualified (or studying towards) would be desirable.
Experience of preparing paperwork for overseas dispatching of goods would be desirable, so too would be the ability to grasp technical knowledge quickly.
