Transport Manager / Distirbution Manager (CPC)

An excellent new opportunity has arisen for an experienced transport professional to join a growing third party logistics provider. This company have over 80 year experience in transport, storage and bulk logistics and have worldwide operations. Working in the head office you will manage an inhouse fleet of 10 units, 130 trailers and 13 drivers as well as an outbase fleet. You will take responsibility for the legal compliance of the in house fleet as well as managing a team of 2 supervisors. You will also manage owner drivers and sub contractors and also seek opportunities for cost reductions and fleet efficiency through maximising backhauls.

To apply for this excellent opportunity you should hold a CPC National and International and have experience within a transport environment. Any experience in bulk or tanker logistics or petroleum / chemicals environment is desirable and you should ideally have experience of working in an unionised environment and some knowledge of safety management.
