Description
This leading designer and manufacturer of complete electro-mechanical consumer based products which is based in Coventry is currently undergoing some exciting growth and is therefore looking for a Development Engineer to joins its growing team.
THE ROLE
You will be responsible for all NPD work in relation to the development of existing and new products into the marketplace. You will work alongside both the design and manufacturing departments, and it will be your role to ensure that the engineering behind the design is sound in principle ensuring that it can be developed through the testing and prototyping stage into production.
THE CANDIDATE
In order to be successful within this role you will need a strong mechanical background and some electrical or electronic understanding would be beneficial but not essential. Educated to HNC/HND or degree level you will need to have shown experience of leading the development of products through the testing stage out into production. You will also need good New Product Development skills (NPD) , as well as the ability to complete compliance testing etc. This role will suit someone who is looking to work for a leading manufacturer of consumer products that is looking to grow and develop its business in the future.
