Controls Technician
£26-27K inc shifts
We are currently recruiting a controls technician for a large automated warehouse in the Nottingham / Derby area. The post involves working with the engineering & maintenance teams, developing & maintaining the control systems and automated equipment.
KEY RESPONSIBILTIES
- Planned and demand maintenance service for all control and systems throughout the warehouse.
- Diagnose, analyse and resolve problems on the control systems whilst maintaining accurate records and data on systems.
- Continuous improvement in all activities.
- To be the primary point of contact on all controls related issues within area.
- Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with all Company, Statutory and Legislative requirements.
- Keep abreast of new innovations and technology on relevant systems and ensure information is accurate and up to date.
- Development of new technology applications.
- Meeting equipment performance criteria, criticality analysis and reduced costs.
- Support and develop knowledge of maintenance teams on controls related issues. Ensuring appropriate training is undertaken and skills developed.
A background in automation and controls maintenance is essential. Knowledge of Siemens S7 is beneficial along with strong fault-finding, diagnostic and project engineering skills.
