Advertising Account Manager required for a leading Internet Portal. The role will assume responsibility for managing a number of key direct accounts to optimise their performance and renewal potential while delivering a high level of customer service.

Key Accountabilities include:

Account Management: Act as the main point of contact for designated direct clients, manage the relationship with the client and keep manager informed of any campaign performance/delivery issues and challenges. Accounts to be managed are likely to encompass a number of different sectors.

Campaign Delivery: Ensure timely receipt of creative’s, handover to AdOps and co ordinate any troubleshooting, confirm campaign live and provide screen grabs, monitor delivery, optimise, analyse and deliver campaign weekly/monthly performance reports and deliver post campaign performance reports together with key learning’s.

Campaign Renewals: Work with manager on campaign renewals, ensuring they are done in a timely fashion with deal value maximized. Plan, produce carriage plan, work with manager to agree plan with client, brief Ad Ops, Editorial and any other internal teams as required. Ensure that client is in receipt of all relevant specifications and timelines.

New Business Development Involvement: Provide input to proposals prepared by the client’s business development team when required.

Up-selling: Ensure that you are regularly pitching additional and sometimes short-term inventory and new opportunities to clients throughout course of the campaign

Client Reviews: Ensure regular face to face meetings with client and more formal quarterly/biannual reviews involving senior Client representatives

The scope of the role and revenue responsibilities will vary depending on the accounts managed but these can range from £100k to £2m deals. Sectors covered will vary but these are likely to include key eCommerce areas of Retail, Travel and Finance. The role has no direct reports.

I am looking for someone with experience in a customer facing role, preferably in a sales environment. I am looking for someone that is able to collaborate across teams and departments. You must have a good understanding of Media and Marketing and must have experience of working in an online environment.
