Job Description
SITE ENGINEER POSITION
Our client is seeking to recruit a site engineer to work on a prestigious Isle of Man Runway Extension Project. Valued at £35 million, the scheme involves reclamation into the Irish Sea to form a promontory, which is protected from wave erosion with 45t armour stone.
Job Description: - Assist in setting out activity - Participate in the keeping of records and logs as instructed/requested by site management. - Manage, monitor and interpret the contract design documents supplied by the client/designer and by working with the site construction of the proposed development. - Maintain a drawing register. - Liaise with local authority to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws. - Take an interest in and assist in all aspects of the project including, but not limited to, Health, Safety and Environmental issues.
Skills Required: - Background in heavy civils. - Skilled at setting out. - Civil Engineering degree (Or equivalent) - Good organisational skills. - Technical construction knowledge. - Contract form awareness. - Ability to analyse problems and offer solutions. - Good communicator. - Computer literate.
