Logistics Director
Our client is looking to strengthen an already successful Supply Chain team by the creation of the Logistics Director role to develop and improve their existing supply chain, specifically the management of fulfilment operations and outbound logistics, encompassing both in-house operations and also 3PL warehousing & transport networks. You will establish the commercial strategy for our client's warehousing, fulfilment operations and outbound distribution logistics, evaluate service providers in warehousing, transport and distribution and recommend improvements. You will drive improvement in our client's existing logistics network, maximising efficiency, and future proofing to support growth. You will support the establishment of the business plan for the warehousing, transport and distribution components and ensure statutory compliance is maintained throughout. A key point of contact between the procurement team, merchandising, sales, customer service and in-house stores, you will interact with all stakeholders to deliver improvements to supply chain performance and "the customer experience" in support of highly visible brands. Moreover you will develop dynamic solutions as the Regatta group of businesses continues to grow in volume, geographic coverage and complexity.
The ideal candidate must be of degree calibre and have a proven track record of success developing and managing a dynamic international supply chain, warehousing and fulfilment operation, preferably from a global fashion brand. This role will combine strategic development, operational management and project co-ordination to effect change across the supply chain from supplier imports through to international customer deliveries. Your background in distribution will display achievement in the aforementioned disciplines and you will have direct exposure to warehouse and transport development projects and in an ideal world e- fulfilment. You will have a key knowledge of the international logistics market and have the ability to form a streamlined, efficient and cost effective supply chain both within in-house operations and through a preferred group of providers, and to develop relationships to support our client's continued expansion.
